When women support one another, the wolves lose their power. Together, we are stronger.
Once upon a time, there lived a pair of bulls in the lush green Amazon jungle. They were incredibly strong and always stood together. Because of their unity, a wolf could never defeat them, although he constantly dreamed of conquering and eating them.
One day, the wolf asked a clever fox for advice. The fox suggested a plan: divide the two bulls before attacking them. The wolf agreed and sent the fox to act as his spy.
The fox met each bull separately. To each one, he whispered, "Your companion is secretly planning to hand you over to the wolf. Be careful. He is no longer your brother—he is your enemy."
Sadly, both bulls believed the fox's lies.
The fox then told the first bull, "The other bull is with the wolf on the other side of the jungle, planning against you. Come with me, and you will see it with your own eyes." Trusting the fox, the bull followed him. As soon as they reached the place, the wolf, who was hiding behind a bush, suddenly attacked and killed him.
Their strength did not lie in each bull alone; it lay in their unity. Together, they were unbeatable.
This is the lesson we must always remember. If we truly want to ensure women's empowerment, safety, and security, we must understand that every oppressor is like the wolf in the story. To protect ourselves, women must stand by one another, support one another, and never allow anyone to divide us. Our greatest strength lies in our unity, because we are always stronger together.
Women rights has always been close to my heart and for that I can go an extra mile. So while having in mind the story of two Bulls I want to share my personal story that how I became a symbol of strength and protection for a women who was stranger to me in public transport. Back in 2023 I was travelling during night from a city to my hometown having bus ride of 5:30 hours. To my next seat which was a window seat a girl younger to me was sitting. Suddenly after 1:30 minutes of ride at a service area stop she told me that Api (elder sister) I want to share something with you. I gave her courage to speak out of her heart. She told me that one of the passengers sitting before us is harassing her and trying to touch her by turning her arm back the seat and trying to show her porn on his mobile screen from the side of seat.
I encouraged her to speak freely and assured her that she could trust me. She then told me that one of the male passengers sitting in the seat in front of us had been harassing her throughout the journey. He had been trying to touch her by reaching his arm over the back of his seat, and he was also trying to show her pornographic videos on his mobile phone. She was frightened and did not know what to do. She had remained silent because she feared that no one would believe her or help her.
I knew that remaining silent would only encourage the harasser. I first reported the matter to the bus security guard, the bus hostess, and the driver. To my disappointment, all of them responded in the same way. They simply said, "Please ignore it." Their response was heartbreaking. Instead of protecting a frightened young woman, they chose convenience over responsibility.
I refused to accept that answer. I believed that if the people responsible for passengers' safety failed to act, then I had a responsibility to do something. I immediately called the Motorway Police Helpline and reported the incident. Within five minutes, the motorway police traced our bus and intercepted it. The officers boarded the bus, listened to our complaint, and took the accused passenger into custody.
That night taught me a lesson I will never forget. I still remember the relief on that young girl's face when she realized that someone had believed her and stood beside her. She was a complete stranger, yet in that moment we were connected by something much stronger than familiarity—we were connected by humanity.
Since that day, I have often reflected on that experience. It left a lasting impact on my heart and mind because I realized that, for a few hours, my presence made another woman feel safe. That feeling of peace cannot be measured. The happiness I felt did not come from confronting the harasser; it came from knowing that one woman no longer felt alone.
That experience strengthened my commitment to women's rights, safety, and dignity. It reminded me that courage is contagious. When one woman chooses to stand up, another woman finds the courage to speak. When we support one another instead of remaining silent, we become far stronger than those who try to intimidate or divide us.
Today, I carry one simple belief wherever I go: whenever a girl or woman is around me, I want my presence to give her a sense of safety, protection, and confidence. I cannot change the whole world alone, but I can make a difference in the world of the woman standing beside me.
Just like the two bulls in the story, our greatest strength lies in our unity. When women stand together, believe one another, and protect one another, no wolf is powerful enough to defeat us. Together, we are stronger.
