It's been a really really long time since I've logged in to Worldpulse! I can not recall when I last logged in but I've been a member of World Pulse since maybe back in 2012 or before that - i'll have to confirm. I've taken part in some of its programs and was writing frequently back - I was going through emails looking for some documents when I found an email from long time ago about a World Pulse Community Champion 6-month volunteer leadership program from back in 2016!!
Does this still exist?
So decided to log back in - and yes I forgot my password but I've done a quick reset.
Well one thing i've achieved is - conquering Breast Cancer - I am one less breast and ovaries but still showing up and doing what I'm called to do. Never thought i'd be designing post-surgery wear and winning a competition for it - and have streamed to wellness and health care products as part of what I do apart from my greatest passion - ICT.
Its been a journey, lots to share. My kids are now adult kids - well two, one is a teen and soon to be independent. Life has its ups and downs but looking at the positive side of every situation is always the best thing to do. Hope.Faith.Love - and the greatest of them is love!
Well I decided I'll pen here first before going to check all the updates on World Pulse and its looking even better than I remember. Technology and the way we do things online has evolved so much, with AI and more interactive platforms and social media - one that has stood constant would be WorldPulse and it has evolved alot also!
I see there is a recommendation of the number of words for optimal length so here I am still writing. If you have gone through breast cancer or any other life-threatening illness that you would want to reach out and connect - I would love that. Through my journey, we have initiated Sista Luv! which is a peer support group that supports other women/family who are going through cancer journey in sharing experiences, information to show another that you are not alone.
That no one needs to go through the journey alone and that we understand you, feel you, and share want to share your emotions, fears, questions because we were also once there.
This month is Cancer Survivors Month and we have shared alot through the platforms that our country's Cancer Foundation have going for this month.
Thank you for connecting and for reading my story - happy to be back on WorldPulse!
