7_I once missed a chance to speak at church because I spent the whole sermon pulling down my dress and hiding my smile. My teeth weren’t brushed. Never again._
*Things That Give Me Confidence as a Lady*
*1. My Outfit*
Dress for the occasion. Church, wedding, beach — each needs different clothes.
Don’t wear outfits so tight you’re pulling them down every 2 steps.
If the dress code is blue, wear blue.
Match your makeup to your skin tone and clothes.
Avoid looking like a rainbow: blue dress + yellow shoes + white purse + burgundy hair is too much.
If you are dark skinned like me,blend your colours , eg dak brown + cream, black + gold , etc
Use roll-on and body spray. Smelling good = confidence.
*2. My Teeth*
I can’t speak confidently if I haven’t brushed my teeth.
Brush, use mints or gum. But spit the gum out and bin it before you arrive.
*3. My Hairstyle*
Keep it neat. Your hair frames your face — when it looks good, you feel good.
*4. My Behavior*
Don’t whisper to your neighbor at church or events.
Don’t ask: _“Why don’t you have kids?” “Why did your husband leave?” “Were you raped?”_
Don’t overshare. We dont wanna hear your maritals problems ,or your mother-in-law drama.
Avoid chewing gum or eating before lunchtime at events.
Use the toilet at home before you bathe .
Laugh at jokes, but not too loud.
Smile. Don’t be moody at church or events.
With all of this, you wont need anyone to tell you ,you are looking good but you will know it for yourself.
As for me ,i dont wait for someone to say you are llooking good or you are beautiful, i know i am
