The plastic problem in disposable pads no one talks about

Every conventional pad you have ever used is likely still out there somewhere in a landfill, waterway, or beach, shedding micro-plastics into the environment. And it will continue doing so for 500 to 800 years. That's roughly 20 generations. The pad you are using right now will outlive your great-great-great-grandchildren. Gopad changes that entirely and we need your support to get it off the ground.

What we built

Gopad is the world's first disposable pad made with biotransformation technology. It looks, feels, and performs like the pad you already trust, offering the same comfort and protection. When Gopad is exposed to sun, water, air, and heat, it biotransforms into an earth-friendly wax, leaving no microplastics behind. It also emits no toxins, making it good for you and the planet.

Why this needs to be crowdfunded

A handful of giant companies control the sale of disposable pad products worldwide and are unwilling to give up their profits to create more sustainable alternatives. Real Relief is a small company. We don't have their marketing budgets or shelf-space deals. What we have is the technology and the will to bring it to market, and we are looking for backers who care about menstrual health to be able to make the change they want to see. Our goal is bigger than one product launch. We aim to bring Gopad to countries with underdeveloped or non-existent waste management systems, where we can keep women and girls healthy without harming the planet.

Every pledge moves us through three concrete milestones: user-experience testing, finalising sustainable packaging, and completing the regulatory approvals that will let Gopad reach women and girls worldwide.
