Internship Opportunity with UNEP – Civil Society and Youth Engagement | Deadline: 11 September 2026

We are pleased to share the following internship opportunity with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), within the Civil Society Unit of the Governance Affairs Office in Nairobi.

The 6-month internship will provide an opportunity for a young or emerging professional to support UNEP’s engagement with Major Groups and Stakeholders, with an additional focus on the Children and Youth Major Group and Indigenous Peoples. The intern will contribute to the planning and organization of consultations, meetings, trainings, workshops and other activities towards UNEA-8; support the implementation of work on enhancing youth participation in environmental processes; assist with coordination involving the Major Groups Facilitating Committee (MGFC); and contribute to meeting support, stakeholder engagement, reporting and related programme activities.
