My refugee community in Kampala , Uganda keeps on expanding day by day , I get to meet new women who approach me looking for different types of help .
I do not have much to offer to the refugee women living in Kampala ,Uganda at the moment but I try my level best to solve their problems . I direct them or take them in different offices where I assume help can be grunted . I encourage them while giving them hope of a better tomorrow , I show them schools which are cheaper or affordable government schools , cheaper houses for rent , affordable hospitals or government hospitals , organisations which can assist with medical help , cheaper markets .
We use to have gatherings in a certain open garden , to hear out their difficulties or hardships , their worries and fear what they can do to over come poverty but we were stopped by the police asking me to register my company before conducting gatherings . So for safety I begun visiting them in their respective homes , one gives me a call regarding on the type of problem then I offer my helping hand , if it requires moving with that particular person I fully attend her or if it requires directing her I also do it . Most who meet me are great ful and they highly appreciate , of recent there is a refugee family which decided to go back to their country Northern Sudan , she came to say good bye with gifts appreciating my help ,time and kindness I felt touched and pleased at the same time ,seeing my dream come true (blossoming ) I do it out of love , I feel I should contribute to women refugees living in Kampala,Uganda however little it maybe because I know what it feels to flee your original country with nothing seeking asylum in a country where everything sounds new , where one begins living life from zero . I receive bundles of compliments thanking of my kindness and time , one informed me that her sister was corned rent money by someone who was associating with them , infact most were corned in various ways , others hyped the price or doubled the prices of rent , school , goods and more and I thank God that everyone who approached me was served right and contented , I followed up to make sure that she was okay , I registered many with the community L.C because it is a must to be registered with the area L.C , I registered their children to affordable schools , the schools communicate to me Incase of anything and I reach the messages because of language barrier , most sudanese women do not know English and the schools don't know Arabic (some schools) so I am also a translator .
All in all , my aims are to amply their voices (the needy and refugee women living in Kampala, Uganda ) so that they can speak up of what oppress them , create ways to fight poverty through livelihoods programs , make them regain their confidence to live fully (rebuild them ), to accept of their past and move on , to exercise their rights freely , to create a supportive ground to empower and uplift others , to empower women to believe in their capabilities , every woman should have access to learn and grow , to relate to real life stories of those who succeeded through their path , to encourage women to pursue their goals , to introduce to them leadership and personal growth and more if grunted a chance .
I call upon whoever is concerned or any well wisher to help me register my company , I am limited by funds being a single mother I find it hard to save and register my company , I need to pay a lawyer I truly want what I am doing , if I can do what I do without support just imagine if I hard some support how much would I do ? the sky would be the limit . All funding organizations want registered company's , if there is any which funds grassroot organisations direct me I will appreciate . I have wasted enough time hoping to save and register , in most cases I feel like communicating or sharing some important message to my community but I fail reason being I was stopped from gathering people because I am not registered .
